Meet Dr. Matthew Krische
Welcome to our practice! I enjoy being a dentist, especially developing personal relationships with patients. Getting to know my patients is very rewarding, but helping them live healthier and more comfortable lives is what fulfills me as a practitioner.
As part of the Lawrence community, I care about our patients. They are the people I see at sporting events and the hardware store. I work hard to provide the highest quality of care for each individual with a compassionate touch.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in sport science – University of Kansas, 1997
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, 2001
Continuing education is very important to my personal and professional growth as a dentist. I am currently a member of a Spear Institute Study Club and have attended numerous seminars at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. Getting together with my partners and other dentists to discuss oral health challenges and further our learning is essential to my ability to deliver good care to my patients.
In the Office
Our team is a great group of people. It consists of women who are courteous and compassionate, and who work very hard to make patients feel comfortable while they are in the office. The connections we make with our patients help build trust, which is very important to us.
Family and Community
I am originally from Topeka and have lived in Lawrence for about 20 years. My wife Katie and I are blessed to have twin boys who bring us so much joy, and just about the same amount of frustration! When I have a little free time, I enjoy family, travel, sports, exercise, music, cooking, and the arts.
Philanthropically, I have served on various boards in Lawrence, including Health Start, the Lied Center, United Way, and Catholic Charities. From a dental perspective, I have served in numerous capacities and on committees for the Kansas Dental Association, and have had the opportunity to serve on multiple committees and councils for the American Dental Association at their headquarters in Chicago. Recently, I was selected to become a member of the American College of Dentists, and currently serve as the president of our local chapter.
